INC Africa Chapter Launches

INC has expanded its efforts in Africa, launching its first chapter in Uganda, East Africa, this summer.

In March of this year, INC President Bill Barnett began discipling artists in the area, building a community of creatives passionate about discipling others and advancing INC’s mission. In 2023, INC Africa has had over 60 pray the prayer of salvation, with hundreds hearing the Gospel presentation.

A group of diverse creatives on a mission, the INC Africa chapter is replicating the US ministries, launching the INC Emerging Creatives-Uganda, discipling hundreds of young aspiring artists in Arua, Muni, and Virra, developing artistic skills through a series of classes in all genres by local professional artists, and community leaders.

INC Emerging Creatives Uganda is a creative discipleship program designed and developed to evangelize and equip the next generation through Bible-centered activities for an enhanced, well-nurtured, and productive . . .mission-oriented Christian living in Arua. The curriculum developed by Dr. William Barnett will engage the students through creative arts to guide, disciple, and equip them to understand their identity and their God-given purpose in Christ, life, and community. The mentor-based program will be progressive in-depth instruction where students can grow and specialize in interest areas from ‘emerging to mastery.’ The team will develop subsequent programs for follow-up and mentorship to capture success stories from the program’s impact.

INC Emerging Creatives-Uganda Director Ronald Kumbuka shares,

“Africa, home to more than 1 billion people, half of whom will be under 25 years old by 2050, making it the world’s youngest and fastest-growing population according to a World Bank report (April 2023), is a diverse continent offering human and natural resources that have the potential to yield holistic growth, eradicate poverty in the region and lead new creative development paths to evangelism and discipleship through the INC Emerging Creatives program in a bid to harness the potential of its resources and people. We are honored to partner with INC to raise the next generation of African culture changers who will impact the world for Christ.”

INC’s USA Arts for Recovery program will soon be launched in Uganda, as they are ministering to young people who are addicted and incarcerated. We praise God for what He is doing in Africa!
