The Physicians’ Community Talent Show is more than an event—it is a celebration of resilience, creativity, and compassion.

We are excited to announce the return of the Physicians’ Community Talent Show! Sunday, November 16th at the Sugden Community Theater, 5:00 pm. A reception and art exhibit will be held before the show. This special evening will showcase the talents of local physicians and raise funds for two impactful nonprofits: Cancer Alliance Network (CAN) and the Foundation of Collier County Medical Society (CCMS).

A Tradition Revived

First launched by local physicians and later led by Gregg & Sara Billings (2004–2014), the Talent Show became a beloved community tradition. Revived in 2023, it drew enthusiastic performers and audiences alike. The 2025 show builds on that momentum with renewed focus on physician wellness, camaraderie, and community connection.

What to Expect

Audiences will enjoy live performances by physicians in music, dance, comedy, and even magic—a family-friendly, joy-filled celebration of creativity. The evening is doctor-themed, featuring musical performances with a clever medical twist. In addition to the music, the evening will feature a children’s book reading by a local internal medicine physician and author, a performance by the Naples Heart Stoppers dance ensemble, a pre-show art exhibit by neurosurgeon-artist Dr. Mark Gerber, and a live painting during the post-show reception by local artist Marcus Zotter.

We’re especially honored to present the Community Hero Award to Jay and Patty Baker, whose generosity and leadership have made such a difference in Collier County.

Erik has served as a volunteer since 2021 with the International Network of Creatives’ Arts for Recovery Program, bringing hope and healing to adults in recovery, and as a musician with INC’s worship and special events. Dr. Hiester has played extensively in Southwest Florida, supporting non-profits and causes to help those in need.

Dr. Erik Hiester, shares:

“To heal is to listen — to the body, the heart, and to God’s quiet music within us. Each note we play reflects the complexity and interconnectedness of human life — reminding us that, just as harmonies depend on every tone, healing depends on our care for one another. Every melody played in faith carries the power to mend unseen wounds. The Physician Community Talent show is a celebration of that sacred harmony between our calling as physicians, our gift of music, and God's love that unites them.”

Beyond entertainment, the event provides a restorative space for physicians. It raises funds for the Cancer Alliance Network (CAN), which helps cancer patients and families in SWFL with financial aid, guidance, and advocacy, and for the Foundation of CCMS, which supports scholarships for future healthcare professionals and wellness programs for local doctors.
