About “The Chosen”

The Chosen is an American religious, historical drama television series created, directed, and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins, son of Jerry B. Jenkins, the bestselling author known for “The Left Behind Series” and other books. The Chosen is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. The multi-season, the episode-based story has impacted millions worldwide. Jenkins intended to focus more deeply on the people who encountered Jesus and to show Jesus “through the eyes of those who met him” in a way that is more “personal, intimate, and immediate.”
