Brian Roland: One Life. One Purpose. One Moment.

After a near-fatal accident left him at death’s door, Chef Brian Roland was miraculously healed — defying every odd stacked against him.

That moment didn’t just save his life; it ignited a radical transformation. God didn’t spare him by accident. He was preserved for a purpose far greater than he could have imagined, and nothing has been the same since.
Brian recalls the accident:
"I fell between a gap that was from the end of the platform to the wall, and without getting into all the details about it, I had fallen through. It hit my head on the motor that was on the inside wall, which bounced me underneath the lift on the ground, and that lift of a couple thousand pounds came down and crushed me. I woke up in the hospital. They apparently had, put me into an induced coma because I had an immediate brain bleed. Immediate bladder rupture. I had crushed my left leg, which required a patella repair in my knee. A femur rod put into my leg. I had nerve damage in my foot. Pretty much every bone in my body.
Business was going great, life was going great. And then this accident happens and we just ask, why? Why us? What? What is the purpose of this? Because if we think about it, God always has a purpose. He's showing us through this how to get closer to him. And whether it's to help ourselves or help others. There's always a reason we have to trust in that.
It was just trusting in God, trusting that He has a plan for me. I believe God spared my life and healed me. I feel like He gave me a second chance at life, where my purpose has shifted. Now, I have stronger faith than ever, and I want to share it with people. I want to take the traumas that I've experienced and use them to help people, and whether that be towards speaking engagements to where I can touch people that may have experienced something similar to me, a brain injury as an example, or a bladder rupture, who have dealt with catheterization, daily catheterization that I have to do, things that were just so unexpected for me. And because I'm here, I'm alive, because I have gotten through what I've gone through, and I'm out on the other side with a positive outlook. Again, I want to use that energy in that journey to help people.
“Now, I have stronger faith than ever, and I want to
share it with people. I want to take the traumas that I've experienced and use them to help people.”
My connection and relationship with God is the foundation of everything I do. It keeps me anchored in what truly matters, grounds me in humility, and ignites a deep passion to nourish people's souls through my craft of culinary arts. That God-inspired purpose transforms the work from ordinary to extraordinary — and that is what drives me every single day.

My life has been impacted deeply by the International Network of Creatives. INC is doing something the world desperately needs. At a time when art and faith are too often treated as opposites, INC boldly follows Christ into the creative sector — and refuses to let the two be separated.
When we consider the sheer magnitude of God's creativity — a Creator who fashioned the cosmos, breathed life into humanity, and filled this world with breathtaking beauty — it becomes undeniable that creativity itself is a divine gift. INC doesn't just acknowledge that truth; it builds on it. By equipping and connecting young creatives with their identity in Christ, INC is raising up a generation of advocates who carry both artistic excellence and spiritual purpose. This is not a niche ministry. This is a movement — and it matters.”
