Volunteer Spotlight: Jean Granholm

Updated: May 7, 2022

Storytellers is proud to feature Mrs. Jean Granholm who has served the ministry for over a decade. We are honored and grateful for her committed service.

Eugenia “Jean” Granholm brings joy and inspiration to SCA and all who have the blessing of working with her. As a self-starter and a people person, Jean uses her giftedness to connect others to serving while encouraging them to use their gifts to help others and impact the world for Christ.

Jean cares for people and demonstrates it so beautifully. Jean serves in the capacity of mobilization, organizing, and leading special projects and events. She thrives on tackling large projects and is inclined to function on a larger scale, likening it to how the Body of Christ should function with a plethora of gifts all working together to advance the mission of Christ. Jean coordinates the Art to Hearts Box Outreach and is an event coordinator.

Jean shares:

“I appreciate the arts in many forms mostly because it’s not anything I can do because I don’t see myself as an artist. So I am overjoyed and blessed to be able to support and come alongside some of the most talented artists to advance the Gospel and bring hope and healing to the hurting.”

Jean and her husband Jon are parents of six adult children (all homeschooled) and one grandson. As an advocate for homeschooling, Mrs. Granholm served faithfully with the Christian Home Educators Association of Collier County (CHEACC) as Vice President, moderating meetings and the orientation of parents, which outlined the Florida requirements of homeschooling. CHEACC provides support and encouragement to local, Christian home school families.

She has taught Classical Conversations classes (a nationwide homeschool co-op) and taught Essentials classes on sentence diagramming and writing. In addition, Jean serves on the Hospitality Team at Covenant Church of Naples, working alongside a committed team of lay people she supports and encourages.

Jean is an invaluable part of the team, and we are looking forward to even greater things as we work together to the glory of God.
