Experience Artist Community Groups!

Updated: 1 day ago

Community is collaboration, creating, and doing life together. It’s where the most incredible stories unfold, creating space for learning together, meaningful relationships, accountability, and spiritual growth.

You are invited to join us on a special journey. . . “Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, soul and strength,

and love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27

As artists, shapers of the culture, we make art from a heart of worship and dependency on the Master Artist who inspires our creativity and skill. We are excited to walk with you, fellowship with you and to walk into our creative callings, together. All creative types welcome.

Adult Community Groups meet bi-weekly in Southwest Florida and virtually. For more information, email; bill.barnett@scanaples.org

Dancer and group member Susan Clayton shares,

“My art is a tool to reflect the beauty of God’s creation. I was created to worship Him and let His Spirit shine through me and my art and music. As I engage with my community, I point others to Christ."

Groups are designed to enhance the artist’s experience through relevant resources, activities, and conversations that engage in to know the One who invited us to join us on the journey, grow in our relationship to Him, and show the world the hope and love of Christ through what we create.

Group member Carol Sesso shares,

"I’m so grateful to have been introduced to the Makers Community Group. After a long (and much enjoyed) career as a choral conductor/music teacher, my transition to retirement has been a bit of a bumpy ride, and even a little scary. Questions such as “What’s next on the journey?”, and “Can I still make a difference?” have loomed large in my purpose-driven thinking."

Session formats are designed to enhance the traveler’s journey experience through relevant resources, activities and conversations that creatives can engage in for the purpose of knowing the One who invited us to embark on this life-transforming trek, growing in our devotion to Christ and our spiritual formation, and showing the world the hope and love of Christ through what we create, build and make on the journey.

Eyayu Genet from Bahir Dar, Ethiopia shares,

"The community group lessons have strengthened my faith and walk. I understand now that I have value and a purpose and that God has a particular plan for my life, to spread His love and to draw others to Christ."

Makers Community Groups are located in creative spaces like art galleries, theaters, studios and other places to foster an atmosphere of engagement, conversation, and artmaking.
