John Tunnell: Former Addict Building Homes and Hearts on Spiritual Foundations
Wise men build homes and hearts on spiritual foundations. That's what John Tunnell does everyday.

"I was a runaway, a dropout, a drug addict, a thief, a troublemaker, and a drug dealer. I was given a second chance at life. It has been a hard road. My life has been a battlefield. It has been a constant struggle, but I couldn’t be more grateful."
John Tunnell is an actor, writer, musician, producer, and master builder, who stars in and produces a DIY-style show that educates viewers on the essentials of building a home, from soup to nuts. This entertaining show takes us on a path of discovery, life lessons, and the life-transforming Gospel of Jesus. "John Works Too Much” is a growing phenomenon in TV, one of God’s powerful transformation tools in a world desperately needing restoration, renovation, and redemption. John’s creative blueprint is rebuilding and restoring lives in everywhere!
John’s iconic opening of “Oh! Hi there”, with his side-splitting comedy delights viewers leaving them wanting more. But that’s not all! John is a longtime rock star who frequents just about every music venue in his native city of Texas and is active at Gracepoint Church. He produced over three albums and authored four books, most recently “A Wretch Like Me,” where he tells his fateful and redemptive story of a former addict whose life was radically changed after a life and death experience.

“I grew up on hippie commune. The first time I got high was three years old and then by the time I was in 8th grade I was doing a lot of drugs and then I dropped out and ran away when I was 14. So I made it halfway through 10th grade but I was doing a lot of drugs and I was selling a lot of drugs.”
Tunnell is a member of SCA’s Makers Community Group, and lovingly shares his story everywhere, passionately leading others to the Light.
"I am blessed to be a part of the INC Creatives Connect Community. It is a wonderful opportunity to share and connect with other artists who are making a difference."

Community is collaboration, creating, and doing life together. It’s where the most incredible stories unfold, creating space for learning together, meaningful relationships, accountability, and spiritual growth.
As artists, shapers of the culture, we make art from a heart of worship and dependency on the Master Artist who inspires our creativity and skill. We are excited to walk with you, fellowship with you and to walk into our creative callings, together. All creative types welcome.
Groups are designed to enhance the artist’s experience through relevant resources, activities, and conversations that engage in to know the One who invited us to join us on the journey, grow in our relationship to Him, and show the world the hope and love of Christ through what we create.
