Artist Spotlight: Carri Colvin
SCA Volunteer, Carri Colvin says that adorning anything paintable makes her heart beat!

Carri is the founder/creator of The Creative Spectrum. For 20 years, Carri has loved every moment of adorning walls, ceilings, furniture, and more with a plethora of decorative finishes. Her motto is, “if it is paintable, I’ll paint it!” Where painting makes her heart beat, inspiring others to find hope in all things and encouraging little ones to “think BIG thoughts” through picture and story makes it dance. She believes the most important “job” we have is to discover our interests and talents, pursue our gifts, and share them with others!
Colvin says:
“Hope in a dry time of life is lemonade for the parched soul. Inspiration is hope with wings! Sharing the hope I have because of Christ and how He has inspired me is a great passion of mine. Whether naturally artistic or unable to “draw a stick figure,” when people let go of expectation and allow what is within to flow outward through the medium, a creative (and often healing) process happens! It is so much fun to see those who were least hopeful about creating anything meaningful find great meaning in the creating! Storytellers is a guide in the process of helping people connect with the Creator and the creative within, making heARTfelt pieces and finding refreshment for the barren places, and sharing hope and inspiration for the journey.”
She believes wholeheartedly that every facet of our lives is used, where in the end we will see a magnificent design and creation beyond what we could create on our own, and nothing is wasted! Carri is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and Word Weavers International. When Carri is not writing or painting with her little Maltese companion, she can be found rollerblading, gardening, and biking in sunny Naples, Florida.
Storytellers Creative Arts is honored and blessed to have Carri on the team!
