Artist Spotlight: Armand Mukenge

God is calling me to know Him, and to make Him known.

South African singer and songwriter Armand Mukenge’s unique music speaks to people from diverse backgrounds. Armand believes in the power of the Cross and lives to experience Jesus and to see man’s heart reflect the Creator’s heart. The young artist’s sensitive, free-flowing songwriting style evolves from his pursuit and passion for God.

“I gave my life to Jesus at the age of 8 years old. I came from a Christian family, and from a young age, I was taught to read and inquire about the scriptures. So I kept digging until I was convinced that life without Jesus was not an option.”

Armand is 29 years old and started making music at age 10. He was part of a church band called “LeChodim,” a worship team for Sunday Schools and High School. Mukenge was part of a music group called “Boys In Motion.” At university, he was part of a musical band called “Voice of Glory”. After college, Armand was part of a worship band called “Moriyyah Music.” His first ever recorded was a song he wrote with his High School band called- “Thank You, Lord,” an acapella version. He currently serves as worship leader at local churches in South Africa.

“When God is working out a particular miracle, at times we are so focused on seeing the miracle happen that we lose sight of the ever-present God who faithfully stands next to us, desiring that we cultivate a meaningful relationship.”

Now touring across South Africa, Armand’s “Unearthed: Engaging Jesus” music crusade leading people to saving faith in Jesus. Armand shares,

“We have seen and continue to see provision like no other. The first part of the tour had hundreds of people come through. We have witnessed many people recommitting their lives to Jesus; others mending broken family relationships, many rejuvenated to pursue Jesus again, and others rediscovering their purpose. I am grateful to be a part of the SCA Makers Community and for the prayers and support as I follow the call of God to reach the world for Him.”

Experience Makers Community Groups!

Community is collaboration, creating, and doing life together. It’s where the most incredible stories unfold, creating space for learning together, meaningful relationships, accountability, and spiritual growth.

As artists, shapers of the culture, we make art from a heart of worship and dependency on the Master Artist who inspires our creativity and skill. We are excited to walk with you, fellowship with you and to walk into our creative callings, together. All creative types welcome.

Groups are designed to enhance the artist’s experience through relevant resources, activities, and conversations that engage in to know the One who invited us to join us on the journey, grow in our relationship to Him, and show the world the hope and love of Christ through what we create.

Makers Community Groups are located in creative spaces like art galleries, theaters, studios, virtually on Zoom, and other places to foster an atmosphere of engagement, conversation, and artmaking. Groups meet bi-weekly in Southwest Florida and virtually.
